Honda Cadets on Grid
Finished 5th After coming 3rd last time here, Riley was hoping for better, but it wasnt to be. A good day though for his karting companion at Clay, Bradley who had his first Honda win- really pleased Bradley always races fairly and he's great support to Riley. And congratulations to Veneno for another fine show at the track and on the podium for best placed novices. You're becoming a pain Des!

21st April - NKRA Round 2 at Llandow
Honda Cadets on Grid 22 (plus comers) Finished 5th A trip to Wales with team mate Russell. First time at the track and due to accidents and an early finish for an RAF endurance race, Saturday's practice was limited to only 3 sessions. Started practice about 3 seconds off the leaders pace, by the end of the weekend we were 0.3 off the leader and had overtaken and beaten the Club Champion in a Heat. Not sure that racing in the same sessions as Comers is a good idea, they generally hold you up, but are faster on the straights so hard to overtake. Anyway, a very positive weekend and great to see the rebuilt engine working well. An exciting track, good facilities and a beautful area. Thanks to Mike from Kart Express and Matt at DK for the quick turnaround, also thanks to Mac and family for their help and support trackside (and the tractor driver for freeing us from the Welsh mud so we could eventually get home!!) 14th April - CP Club Championship Round 3
Honda Cadets on Grid 27 Finished 18th In a positive frame of mind after a lovely sunshine break in Cyprus and no racing for 3 weeks. And then.....a really frustrating race with engine problems meant we just couldnt keep up and for safety reasons had to give up a long awaited pole position in a heat. Engine to be sent away for a rebuild, back bigger and better next time! Positives??? It only rained for a few hours this weekend..... |
