Had an amazing day at the Scholarship, learnt so much. Was always going to be a huge ask as I'd never driven any car at speed before and others had been practicing in the cars and at Blyton - but it was an awesome day and great experience. Managed not to stall, spin or crash in the 8 laps I had, but wasnt enough time to get up to a decent race speed, so didnt get through to the final day, which isnt a suprise but still a shame. Ill be back next year for my second and final attempt at it, fitter, stronger, faster!! Good luck to the final 20 tomorrow. Thanks to Mike Epps and Jake Hill (yep I got to take BTCC drivers out for a drive) and Ruth and Ashley at Ginetta for the opportunity. The boys want to say a big thank you to the girls, who aren't always seen, but are always supporting. Like most things in the house not much would get done without the organisation, thought and action of Debbie. Always planning list at hand, Mummy is the one that keeps this show on the road. Lola goes above and beyond supporting her brother and putting up with constant racing chatter. A special thank you to you from the boys.... Thank you x After last weekends clean sweep of victories in all 3 heats and the final Riley has enough of a points lead that despite there being 2 more rounds to go, he can not be beaten and is therefore the Whilton Mill 2016 Junior Rotax Champion.
Having only moved up to the class this year we are delighted at the way Riley has taken to the faster, more powerful kart which requires a greater level of strength and fitness. This is something we have been working on as the season progressed and it has made a big difference in concentration levels and consistenccy throughout the entire day. Huge thanks go to Daryl Fully Litt Burgess and Vision Motorsport and to Whilton Mill Kart Club for running such a friendly, professional championship. |
