Started our little break with our first trip to PFI (Paul Fletcher International) near Grantham Lincolnshire - self styled as "the home of British karting" As they hold the British Championships as well as European and World Championships rounds.
First of all, its a long way from Somerset, especially when you;re towing a caravan. We stayed overnight in a local caravan park and arrived at PFI bright and early. It is an amazing track and has great facilities - although the girls were less than impressed as you cant see the track from the car park (caraan) and the food isnt great (we're veggies) in the cafe. Mobile phone signal was also poor. Once again we were lucky enough to have Connor Hall share his expertise with us and having watched many of his amazing races (and wins) at PF it was a bit surreal. And to see him at the end drive Rileys kart round the track was incredible, what a driver - poetry in motion. Riley was amazingly quick and impressed us all. Racing is another matter, it comes with experience and maturity, but his sheer speed never disappoints.

Fantastic weekend of racing, wining all heats and the final. Llandow may only be a small club, but its a fantastic track and the Welsh hospitality is second to none. We love the family atmosphere and enjoy racing here.
