Customised helmets

 Seems to be that every novice karter steps onto the track on their first day complete with a shiny new kart and a customised helmet - but at £500ish a pop this was more than a luxury where we were concerned and unless it was gong to provide that elusive 2 tenths it certainly wasnt going to happen any time soon! 

The upside was it made Riley much easier to spot in a field of multi coloured helmeted karters! Anyway he was promised a helmet when he won his first championship - which he did in Nov 2014. However a new (secondhand) chassis was more important and then he grew - again! - and a new racesuit and boots became a necessity and then finally for Christmas he got to design his helmet.

Whilst researching companies we'd come across Dr Kolor a Bristol based designer, its always good to be able to use local companies so this was an added bonus. Think hes now supplied to most of the Vision Team, he did such an amazing job.
