First Race First Trophy

First race and the idea was just to survive to the end of the 4 hours. As I had to miss Friday practice because of my English GCSE, Saturday qualifying was my first time in the single seat race car!! No pressure then! Having the TV film crew standing there with a camera shoved in my face wasn't exactly expected either. I guess I should known I was the youngest ever VW funcup race driver, but I didn't and no body said until after the race. I've been under pressure plenty of times, and done lots of pole starts, so just focused on what I wanted to do and got on with my own prep and focused on driving. 

I was on the pace and just outside the top 10 drivers, second fastest in the TFL garage, which was a bit of a surprise to everyone.

I wasn't expecting to be bring home a trophy on the first race, but the team did a great job and I learnt lots from Jack and Steve my co-drivers. To be with the front runners on pace was really satisfying.
